COLOR... AND COLORIZING

These days most new NewsArt illustrations are done in color and b&w versions (any color drawing you see on the site also exists in a b&w version... using the same ID number minus the "c"). The fee for color art is 2x the b&w fee.*

In addition, just about any b&w illustration on the site can be "colorized" into a full-color illustration.  (See examples below) You may ask your art department may do this, or you may ask the artist to colorize the drawing.  If your art dept. does it, the fee is same as any color art.  If you ask the artist to colorize the drawing, he or she may request three times the b&w fee, depending on complexity and deadline.  So you can expect to pay 2 to 3 times the the b&W rate.
